Yard Work

There's kind of a lot of junk in our yard...

...an old swing set (not to mention all that overgrown bramble and bittersweet vine behind it)...

....a bit of wood, and lots of old leaves. The yard hasn't been tended since 2008 (the fire was in October 2008)

So M and Daddy spent the day with Uncle Chris last weekend...

We are now getting ready to make the fun decisions for the house...Colors, cabinets, faucets. I'm a little overwhelmed, but I love this super cute pic of my husband.

Windows

Ah. How lovely. We had our windows installed this week. I can't wait to check out the lake view through that big kitchen window. I think I'll maybe feel less ambivalent about dishwashing if I atleast have a nice view to enjoy.

Hello

this is a pretty accurate snapshot- literally- of our life right now. Husband, wife and baby and a broken down new house.

Actually the house, though still not livable, is looking slightly better these days...I'll post updates soon.
